Musical Variety Show
Over 17 Weird and Wacky Instruments!
Hoot n Annie perform a Musical Variety Show featuring over 17 of America’s weirdest and wackiest instruments—many played at the same time—dazzling audiences of all ages!
Hoot is a one-of-a-kind one-man-band and musical juggler, a natural joke-teller and a virtuosic instrumentalist who plays a uniquely designed vintage calfskin parade drum with a 1920’s clanger and cymbals with his feet while playing accordion or banjo and singing or playing a genuine nose flute strapped to his nose.
Watch the reaction when he plays the beautiful bass recorder—or pulls out a spooky-sounding musical saw. Or, the absolute audience favorite—a Jaw Harp that gets gasps from the first boing boing.
Red-hot Fiddlin’ Annie is a singer, violin virtuoso and expert dance leader who gets the whole audience going!
Watch her play something you’ve never seen before—a homemade washtub cello bass that’s as big as she is— and see how she gets the whole audience up singing and dancing to some of the craziest songs that always sound best when you sing at the top of your lungs!
With lots of humor, and tons of audience participation – both young and old—Hoot n Annie get everyone singing, clapping, dancing and generally hootin and hollerin to Great American Folk Songs and dances from all around the country.
With Hoot ‘n Annie–there’s something new every minute!
Our always-interactive programs of the best American folks songs and music– played with the wackiest American instruments have delighted families all over the country. Sing along with the musical saw, clap with the shtumphfiddle, dance with the limberjack and enjoy the sounds of an Old-Time, front-porch family gathering—music, laughs and the most wonderful kind of sharing.
